Summary

We gave our juices a boost! Our newest line of cold-pressed juices is packed with superfoods, lower in natural sugar, priced sustainably, and both safer & longer lasting through Cold Pressure Technology.

We have altered our juice recipes to include a combination of superfoods in each bottle, lower sugar content, and a longer life in your fridge.

Let’s take our Coral juice as an example!

1) Superfoods made super easy.

We love plant-based superfoods because of their incredible nutrient density. So we crafted our juice recipes to include a combination of new superfoods in each bottle. Our superfood list includes camu camu, mangosteen, activated charcoal, spirulina, broccoli leaf, echinacea, watermelon rind, and ginger.

For Coral, we added watermelon rind and lime to our base recipe of watermelon, strawberry, and chia. Watermelon rind not only utilizes the whole fruit in our production to reduce food waste, but it is packed with antioxidants and potassium to boost your immunity.

2) Lower natural sugar.

We have also tweaked our base recipes to lower the natural sugar content, while ensuring our juices are still bursting with flavor. Some juices are up to 50% less sugar than the previous recipe!

We reformulated our Coral recipe to bring down the natural sugar content from 16 grams to 9 grams!

3) New, simple design

We are making things simple for you. All our juices will now be 12 ounces and our shots will be 2 ounces.

4) Priced sustainably

By tightening our relationships with local farmers and utilizing the normally discarded parts of produce, we’ve scaled down the price per ounce to bring you our superjuice at a more affordable cost. Each juice will be $8 and shots will be $4.

5) Distinction that lasts.

All of our juices will now undergo Cold Pressure Technology — the process of applying hydrostatic pressure to kill off pathogenic bacteria while retaining juices’ vitamin and mineral content. It’s a win-win!

So how will my juice plan work?

We will send along your juices as usual on your normal delivery days. Your juice will come in a 12-ounce bottle and your shots will be 2 ounces across the board.

How much will juice cost?

Our juices will now be $8 a bottle and $4 a shot. By tightening our relationships with local farmers and utilizing the normally discarded parts of produce, we’ve scaled down the price per ounce of our juices to bring you cold-pressed nutrition at an affordable cost.

I loved the glass bottles — why did you switch to plastic?

So did we! We made the switch reluctantly because unfortunately glass bottles would break under the pressure of Cold Pressure Technology, so we are required to use plastic. All of our bottles are 100% recyclable and BPA free.

While we had to make this switch, we remain extremely committed to sustainability and reducing our environmental footprint — in fact we are well on our way to transitioning all of our meals from plastic to compostable containers. We’re also working on a reusable meal container pilot. Stay tuned!

What exactly is Cold Pressure Technology?

Cold Pressure Technology is a process of applying hydrostatic pressure to kill off pathogenic bacteria, while retaining juices’ vitamin and mineral content. The pressure is equivalent to 6x that of the deepest ocean. This process applies uniform pressure to our juices by pumping cold water into a high-pressure chamber. The pressurized environment (no heating!) breaks down cell walls, but does not change the chemical composition of the juice. This means bacteria is killed, but the nutritional value of our juice stays the same.

What are the benefits of Cold Pressure Technology?

Cold Pressure Technology keeps our juice free of potentially harmful bacteria, keeping you safe. Everything about our juicing process stays the same. We still cold-press to preserve maximum nutrient density in the juicing process and utilize the freshest, organic produce. Cold Pressure Technology preserves all the good stuff, and keeps away the bad. Your juice will also now last a bit longer in the fridge, so now you can enjoy them at your convenience. Unopened juices will last 7 days in the fridge and opened juices will last 3 days.
